A Vietnamese woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted for years by a convicted child molester, who is scheduled for release later this week in an unrelated case, will tell her story via video in Orange County. District Attorney Tony Rackauckas scheduled a news conference for Thursday to warn the public about the scheduled release Friday of George Joseph England, who served just over three years in prison for sexually assaulting three girls in Costa Mesa in 1977.

2,000 hens and roosters seized in Los Angeles

Authorities say nearly 2,000 hens and roosters have been confiscated from a two-block area in Los Angeles as part of an ongoing cockfighting investigation. Los Angeles police Officer Cleon Joseph says officers and animal services workers spent ten hours Wednesday removing the birds from the rural area of residential trailers and ranch-style homes in the Sylmar area.

2 teens wanted in 2009 killing found in Mexico

Two fugitive teenagers wanted in the 2009 killing of a 16-year-old boy have been found in Mexico and returned to authorities in Riverside County after a four-month manhunt. Hemet police say 18-year-old Jose Campos and his girlfriend, 17-year-old Felicia Sharp, were booked and questioned Wednesday evening.

Two brothers were under arrest after a methamphetamine lab was found at a home in a quiet Pleasanton neighborhood Wednesday. Newsom Gets Nomination Papers For Lt. Gov. Run
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom Wednesday afternoon obtained nomination papers for the lieutenant governor's race, taking him one step closer to a possible run for statewide office, the mayor's office confirmed. Newsom obtained the papers from the Department of Elections in City Hall and paid a filing fee of about $2,500, both prerequisites of filing to run. The mayor has not officially announced a decision on whether he will run for the seat and has until Friday to file the papers.

San Jose Chili-Finger Woman: 'I Cooked It'
Anna Ayala, the Las Vegas woman who gained international infamy for a 2005 incident in which she claimed she found a finger in a bowl of chili at a San Jose Wendy's restuarant, is now out of prison and talked exclusively to CBS 5. In the interview, Ayala admited for the first time ever how she prepared the severed finger of a co-worker in a batch of chili made with a similar recipe to Wendy's chili. "I cooked it," she said of the finger.
