SPUR opens San Jose office; Oakland could be next
The San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association, known as SPUR, opened its first branch office this month in San Jose.
The organization, originally founded in 1910, wants to broaden its reach and influence into the Bay Area’s largest city. A move into Oakland could be next.

The item recommends choosing a small, local bank or credit union in the spirit of the nationwide “Move Your Money” project.
Berkeley renewed its contract with San Francisco-based Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) in 2009...

Stores can give customers paper bags (made of recycled paper, naturally), but must charge a dime for them...
